No, my opinion has not changed after the readings. I think technology is making our lives more convenient rather than make us lazy or dumber. Rather than looking through a thick text book to order a Pizza. You can just Google it and get the number and address in a matter of seconds. Just because we can get our information faster, doesn't mean we are getting lazier or dumber.
I'm a fan of technology, and am really looking forward to what comes out through out the years. Phones are becoming laptops, and laptops are becoming so powerful it isn't necessary getting a desktop (unless you are a gamer).
That is hilarious that you mentioned the pizza example, I did exactly that tonight when I was ordering dinner. It really is convenient to not have to look in a huge phone book. This access made it possible for me to write my blog post, instead of wasting countless amounts of time flipping pages in the phone book.
ReplyDeletehaha yea seriously. Not only the phone number and address you will get reviews, and with Google maps and stuff we can get instructions of how to get there. You get all of this in a matter of seconds, and if we wanted all this with from a book and a physical map it would take a while.
